My Backstory: Who is he "E"? And Why Should You Listen To Me?
Let me take you back in time; It's 2003, I am a 26 year old college student at Alabama State University with no clue of what I wanted to do with my life. Every Thursday I had to attend a business seminar as a part of my overall grade. This event often gave students a chance to see successful black men and women in business. The most memorable speaker was a guy by the name of Kenneth Brown. He was a 40 year old successful entrepreneur out of Chicago who owned several McDonald's Franchises. He told the story of how he grew up dirt poor and his parents was both thirteen years old when he was conceived.
However, his mom taught him at a very young age how to use the power of visualization. He went on to say, "how his life changed when it was time for him to apply for college." His best friend, who Dad was the Mayor of their town, wanted him to go away to college with him. Kenneth knew his grades wasn't good enough and his mom couldn't afford to sent him away.
Long story short he took a leap of faith, applied for school and got accepted. He explained how this event sparked his imagination. He stated how he overcame poverty with the power of NLP. At that time I had never heard of Neuro Linguistic Program. Powerful stuff.
By the end of the presentation I knew I wanted to meet him. I was in the back of the auditorium, thinking how can I get a chance to approach him. When I finally reached Kenneth Brown I asked him the single most life changing question ...
So I asked him, "if he was me...26 years old, with not a clue...what would you do?The answer that he gave me changed everything...Kenneth said, "find somethings that you love...which you don't have to get paid for and make that your job...He then said, "do it so well that people will pay you for it."
Soon after that day...
I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I was fascinated with computers. I didn't understand how they worked but I knew I would figure it out. From that point in time I was all about business. Four months after things settled down I opened my first business which was a computer repair shop. I was running it out of the comfort of my home.
I read every book I could read on the topic. I found a mentor who taught me how to break down computers and make it communicate to other hardware devices at a time when computer has not quite evolved into what it is today. I took what Kenneth Brown taught me and gained clients by offering my services for free. I did such a good job that people started paying me handsomely.
I wanted to succeed. After about 6 months I was financially able to pay my rent up for 6 months at a time. However, this is when things shift for the worst. The people that I was helping all of a suddenly wasn't calling or referring clients to me.
My income quickly took a nose dive. I went from eating out every night to barely having food to eat. I couldn't even afford to buy noodles. It affected my grades in school. I went from an A+ student to barely passing at a 2.0 grade average. I couldn't figure out why.
Eventually, my first business tanked. I'm now broke and losing hope. But my failure taught me my second biggest lesson in life. It taught me that I needed to learn the skill of marketing....
I won't bore you with why I'm so driven to help business owners. But I will say this, "small business owner who use to get ran out of town by the local Walmart's of the world can now complete. The table has turned; thanks to the internet."
As I advanced my skills, I started to believed that I could really help business owners and in reality I was developing a self help system. You see, my first business failed because I didn't know my now most go to strategy of marketing a product or service. I've since learned how anyone could package, position themselves, and promote their brand online.
All you need is a computer, an internet, and the heart to share your talents and gifts with the world. You see, we are all "experts." We all have something to offer to the world and there are someone right now that is willing to pay you for your knowledge.
The problem is that we don't believe or trust that we have anything of value to give. We are constantly, learning from others and our past. Now my question becomes when will it be okay for you and I to start earning a profit for that skill that we acquired? Shouldn't you and I get a return on our investment? which took years to master!
So, I had a plan to see if my purpose to help small business owners would work in the real world. I would build mini sites, place them in the marketplace solely to sell other people products.
This is where I learned the art of "Affiliate Marketing." Large brands like Amazon and Walmart would pay me a commission to sell their products. So for years, I learned a skill that is now helping mom's and pop's compete with the big boys. So in a since, Walmart helped me help people just like you; by allowing me to work with them.
I am now able to help entrepreneurs take their experience to the market place. However, the same techniques that helped my clients was hurting my business. It was the weirdest thing to me. I didn't know how to retain clients. It wasn't until I learned the "Expert Secrets."
Now I have the secret about the "expert" I can't get rid of clients; it's not as if I want to. A day in my life is not easy but it is very peaceful. Business is looking up. Literally, I am closing deals without even trying....to be completely honest. How so?
I'm not bragging, I am just grateful from where I sit. My story isn't unique. It's my story that I get to share with everyday people like you that make it refreshing to me. I no longer worry when times are hard. When you have experience and a product or service to promote...you can win too. With the right system and a set of strategic actions....there's no limit to what you can do. You are an "expert." Let me show you how to get paid for it....Click below.
